![]() ![]() After following the Avid manual for adjustment, I've not had problems with the BB5, aside from an occasional adjustment for wear. I have BB5 brakes on one of my upright utility bikes, and BB7 on another. ![]() Here is the link with pictures that explains it well. ![]() Both of your pads should now be centered to where they work and brake evenly. Then tighten inner pad (red knob clockwise) tell it just tourches rotor and then finally back it off a couple of clicks (red knob counterclockwise) so that when you spin your wheel there is no rub. You then need to back off the inner pad by turning the red knob counterclockwise again so as to remove the business card. Now you need to go back and tighten the adustment knob (turn clockwise) of the inner pad tell it is pushed snugly against the disk rotor (you should not be able to pull card out). Insert a business card between the outer pad and disk rotor. You then loosen the mount bolts of the brake caliper. The very simplest method is to first back the inner pad all the way out by counterclockwise turning of the red adjustment knob. As mentioned only one pad can be adjusted. ![]()
